Christina’s World is one of my favorite paintings. It just gets me right here, you know? Deep down in my lonely bones. The woman in the painting is stuck on a far-flung asteroid of Middle America orbiting the doldrums. Julai says the painting reminds her of why she left Southern Illinois. Miss Bluestocking shares her sentiment toward the situation. I really enjoyed a chance to draw from inspiration, so to speak!

I’m going to link to a few more comics I’ve become acquainted with. They’ll be in the sidebar, and you can meet them here if you haven’t already:

Blog updates:

There’s a new blog post about the time I had at the Dallas Webcomic Expo. And what a time it was! You can check that out here.

This coming week is going to be a busy one! I’m finishing up a large painting that will be up for auction at the NANO Fiction Five Anniversary Dance Party & Auction. The painting features two characters from a new comic of mine that’s debuting in the next issue of NANO Fiction. I’ll have a blog update about that today. Until then, you can see a sneak peek of it here, as well as the details of the event. If you’re in the Houston area August 26th, you should totally come by! It’s going to be a real hoot.
