Last week I heard back from TCAF about their waiting list, but it was too short notice for me to go this year–it’s happening this weekend! I’m excited for everyone who’ll be there–did you know you can run into Keith Mclean? He’ll have a new mini book–find him and get it!

It has comics I drew in 2009-2010, (pre Wacom tablet times) and also has the eight part story of how Bobby and Miss Bluestocking first met! Super nostalgic stuff you guysss.
Ah I’ll be at TCAF there all weekend, it’s just down the street from me. It would have been awesome to run into some Robbie and Bobby.

Glad you like the textures! It seems to be my latest endeavor to hand render wood grains and fabrics. Doubles the time it takes to draw the comic, but perhaps it doubles the pleasure, the fun?

The TCAF organizers were dealing with some pretty hairy stuff–like a librarian strike, and possible change of venue, so I don’t think the short notice on the waiting list was typical procedure.
I’d love to just scope it out, too. That’s something I’d plan a vacation around–I’ve never been to Canada at all!
Oh man I hadn’t heard about all that TCAF drama, that sucks! I definitely want to make a trip up to Toronto for the fest also.
