I never thought of myself as a morning person, but I get up really early to draw comics, and it’s totally worth it! By the afternoon, I’m only somewhat present, but the sense of accomplishment is like a six pack of high octane energy beverages.
Most webcartoonists I know are night owls, but Ryan Hudson of ChannelATE is another cartoonist who’s also an early burner. We talked about that this morning on twitter, and probably sounded like grandpas. Check out his uproarious comics about ghosts! He probably drew them when you were snoozing. (Unless you’re in New Zealand, then you were probably eating dinner, which I can assure you, is also a difficult time to be drawing comics.)
At least he didn't drop a big number 2.

As for early vs. late, I like to post my comics around midnight, but I've been known to write into the early morning. And, I also wake up rather early still… so… I have a terrible schedule.

This comic is great! I just watched a doc on meth this week so I appreciate how you often make comics specifically for me!
Schedule wise I'm all over the map. I can't trust I'll get to finish an early comic as my son wakes up at odd hours and the coffee maker is loud. Although early morn is my preferred time if possible.
